I have 2 dogs, so this is a must for my beige sofa.It's easy to wash and any stains come right out.We even took it on our beach vacation to throw over the sofa in our rental because we knew sandy dogs would laying on it. Just took it off, shook out the sand and laundered when we got home.I really like this sofa cover. Thanks to the straps holding it together at the back, our little boy pug has a harder time pulling it off the sofa. That was his favorite activity with the sofa cover that preceded it. As he also like to lick and the moisture is not getting through, it would appear that the claim that it is water resistant is true. Plus his hair don’t seem to stick to it—another definite plus.Add to that that the fun-colored fabric is definitely softer and more welcoming than leather and I think we have a winner.This sofa cover seems to be water and stain resistant. I don't have my dog on the furniture but I do have a teenager and husband who likes to drink and munch on food while on the sofa. I have a big sofa with large pillows for the back so this cover fits nicely and overall, stays in place as well as can be with constant moving bodies on it.I ordered what I thought was a size up, but it barely fit, so be careful there... other than that, it's nicely made and is doing a good job of protecting my sofa from my stinky dog.It came with some straps. I assume they hold the cover down somehow, but I can't really figure out how it goes, so I just skipped it.Ok, we have a dear old dog who sheds a lot. He loves the basement couch. He will only get on that one piece of furniture. He is so loved by the family; we ignore it as not many people use the basement couch. When company comes to visit, we need to spend an hour or more trying to vacuum the hair and dirt off the couch.This fit perfectly, matches the color great, covers well, and it was just as easy for him to get up there. I made sure to show the strap on the back, but the cover actually covers it great. The foam inserts also helped to tuck the cover into the crease.This is now a must have in my book because it was super easy to install, fits and looks great, and allows the old man to keep his throne without causing a mess.GREAT product.I needed another sofa cover. Why two? Our well pump broke, and I am currently using a laundromat--I needed another sofa cover for when the dirty one is in the laundry (I make laundromat trips about every two weeks). I saw this one at a very good price, and knew it would be perfect. And it is. The size fits my couch very well. It is reversible, so you have the choice of two colors. It is a good weight of fabric, but not really thick, so it is very easy to tuck down into the back and side folds of the couch. It does have elastic bands to use to hold it a little tighter. There was a very slight fabric odor that dissipated very quickly once the package was opened; Hubby is very sensitive to smells, and he noticed nothing. Miss Kitty's hair is very easy to roll off, as it does not stick to the fabric. It does not wrinkle on the seat, and Hubby does sit there quite a bit! So I am grateful for that feature--it always looks smooth and neat. I have not yet laundered it, but do not expect any problems. Its turn is coming. Both colors looked very nice, but we are currently using the reddish side up. I am delighted to have it, and can recommend it to anyone who needs a couch cover because they have pets, or because their couch fabric is old or worn or torn (been there, done that). Great price, easy install, makes my couch look good, and Miss Kitty can spend all the time she wants on it. I feel like I found a bargain.This cover is really easy to clean and looks very nice on my sofa. It is definitely rugged and able to withstand my Australian shepherd mix dog, but it does not cover the corners that she has torn up.It comes with a strap to hold it down but I have yet to figure out how to put the thing on… needless to say my dog is able to pretty quickly pull the cover off.I have 5 kitty kids (2 of which have long fur), and grew sick and tired of vacuuming/brushing their fur from our living room furniture -- a long time ago.For that reason, I've had a couch cover (manufactured by a different company) for several years, but it doesn't fit well... meaning the top is constantly falling down -- especially when we humans sit on the couch. I just chalked it up to having larger-than-typical furniture cushioning.When I came across this listing on Amazon, I decided to order it, JUST so we have an extra one to switch out when the 'old' one gets barfed on (etc).Up to this point, I've been using layered beach towels of varying colors to help protect the couch while the 'old' cover was being laundered. Needless to say, however, having 6 to 8 unmatched beach towels covering the couch even temporarily isn't exactly attractive.Upon removing/unfolding this cover from the zipper bag, I was immediately surprised to discover it is larger than my old one, AND it is 'prettier' too... not only is the color nicer, but there is a SLIGHT SHEEN to it -- which I suspect is what helps keep liquids like barf and urine from soaking through.There are two elastic loops on both edges of the underside, and I honestly have no idea what they are for. I'm fine with them being there, however, because they don't show when the cover is on, with the colored side facing up.Most importantly, my cats find this cover to be adequate for their daily 10-to-12-hour naps. :)
